How to Remove the Header and Footer
These screenshots are from Firefox on Mac OSX 10.4. Safari and Opera are the same for the first screen.
Firefox
Go to File -> Print (or click 
on your Apple keyboard), then choose Firefox from the drop-down box:
That will open up the full set of Print options for Firefox including adjusting and / or removing the header and footer information.
Safari & Opera
Go to File -> Print (or click ) then choose your browser from the drop-down list (Safari or Opera). This step is the same as Firefox, use the images above if you want a visual reference.
Safari In the next window , uncheck "Print webpage information in headers and footers".
Opera If you're using Opera, the phrase you're looking for is "Print Headers and Footers", uncheck that.
That's it, you're done!
