I use these at the very top of each page for the printer tips and contact link as well as a few times on the main page. This full set contains 1000 (!) tiny png images that are incredibly useful and beautiful! If you're looking for super-tiny images, this is the place I'd recommend.
Stock.XCHNG
Many of the photo's I use on this site are from the Stock.XCHNG. It's a huge archive of free stock photography, and is packed with wonderful photographers sharing their talent. This is one of my personal favorite places to look for images for websites, desktop wallpaper or pretty much anything else.
